Starting from scratch! – Thought #001
My blogging journey wasn’t smooth. I was running a blog named parthaspeaks, for the past 3-4 years. I have written many articles on that. But I lost the blog data completely, as I couldn’t take full back-up or my WordPress site. I have downloaded the blog files and then found out that itโs not enough to recover the blog. The domain expired around mid-2021.
Why didn’t I renew the blog? Professionally I was going through a rough phase and was looking for a job and in the process wasn’t in a position to invest another Rs. 4 – 5K for my blog (GoDaddy hosting charges with SSL). Sometimes, I try to cut myself off from other distractions when I wanted to focus on something very important. I was taking online courses to improve my resume and find a better job. While eventually by the end of 2021, I did land a good job, but in the process, I didn’t realize that I am losing my blog data completely.
Here I am, 5 months into my new job. I thought of getting back to my love for writing my thoughts. This time I wanted a more generic domain name to take it forward as I have a vision for the blog. I want this blog to be a resource of good memories, learning, a resource for others to use and refer back to. So, after searching a lot and getting suggestions from friends, I have decided to name it ‘Canvas of Thoughts’.
Canvas of Thoughts: I am a person who likes to explore new ideas, new thoughts. I love painting my thoughts too. Also, I am an engineer and often dwell on the thoughts of innovative ideas. I imagine life to be a blank canvas and we shouldn’t limit our thoughts or creativity. This blog has been categorized in 4 thought segments- Travel, Painting, Positivity and Analytics. These segments sum up my personality and if you to feel the connection, send in your thoughts or perhaps an article! I am ready to publish here, other’s articles that match any of my blog themes.
